Saw the neurosurgeon today. As for the neck pain and headaches, he’s thinking it is caused from stress and tension which is causing a pinched nerve, but wants to rule out other possibilities first. So had a neck x-ray done.

I tell you, I must be literally glowing by now with all the MRI’s and x-rays taken in a years time.

Then we went on to the feet. This is a downer, but am trusting and believing in the Lord. (more below about my feet, felt compelled to add Scriptures here). This thought just come into my mind when it was filled with the words, Come Lord Jesus come, won’t you come my Lord. The song on the next post just seems so befitting for today. Wow! How good is He!

Hosea 6:1
“Come, let us return to the Lord,
He has torn us to pieces;
now He will heal us.
He has injured us;
now He will bandage our wounds.”

Matthew 4:23-24
23″Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And He healed every kind of disease and illness.”
24 News about Him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to Him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon-possessed or epileptic or paralyzed–He healed them all.”

Matthew 8:16-17
“That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and He healed all the sick. 17This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said,

‘He took our sicknesses
and removed our diseases.”

Matthew 15:30
“A vast crowd brought to Him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and He healed them all.”

Mark 1:32-34
32″That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. 33The whole town gathered at the door to watch. 34 Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and He cast out many demons. But because the demons knew who He was, He did not allow them to speak.”

Luke 8:50
“But when Jesus heard what had happened, He said to Jairus, ‘Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”

Luke 17:19
“And Jesus said to the man, ‘Stand up and go, for your faith has healed you.”

James 5:16
“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest power of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

1Peter 24
“He personally carried your sins in His body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By His wounds you are healed.”
All verses were taken from the NLT

There are so many references to God healing in the Bible. I only listed a handful of them. The one most important to remember I believe is 1Peter 24. Because of Jesus’ great sacrifice we will be healed. Better known for “by His stripes we are healed.” This is why I believe in healing. The Lord is mighty to save. He is the God of Love. The Lord of healing.

As for the results. The neck pain and headaches with the one day of numbness in the left side is still unknown for sure. The feet, I have something neuropathy. It is worse than he first thought. Basically my nerves are about shot in my left foot and pretty much so in the right foot. I have no feeling (which was a shock to me) from the tip of my toes to the top of my ankle on the left and almost as bad on the right.

He feels I have the onset of Type 2 diabetes if I don’t already have it. I have to get rid of my belly fat. The way it was explained, when we age, we all will start to get a belly bulge. This happens as our bodies start to decompose inside. The first place it sends the extra toxins is to the base of the body, our feet. It is very important to keep the body fat in the belly down. So an important life style change has to happen quickly. I’m prone to heart attacks and strokes now as well. He is concerned about my feet and told me we are going to have to be very careful.

Also, when we carry the excess weight and the diseases start to occur, we are taking years off of our lives. Basically, I’m setting myself up for an early death in as early as 10 years if I don’t start acting now. Talk about getting someones attention! That hit home. Well it all did, but that especially. Hubby and JJ are taking it much harder than I am. I just have to hold onto faith that the Good Lord is going to heal me. He will help me with the hunger pains. He will walk this journey with me. If I don’t hold fast to Jesus, then I’m setting myself up for failure, as we can never take the journey on our own.

So there you have it. Change of lifestyle and eating habits, or miss out watching my grand kids grow and enjoy them. I chose to be around for many more years and make my body young again. It’s all hereditary darn it. :( Okay, I know, no whining and no negativity. It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to…Hee hee, no, no crying here. The Lord has given me a warning, and I’m blessed that He has told me now instead of when it’s too late to do anything about it. Thank you God!!!

I so wanted to share this information with you all so that none of you ever have to experience this. Take good care of yourselves. Keep that darned bulge of aging away. I wish you all good health, healing for those who are facing health issues, strength for those facing other trials and tribulations and ask that the Lord fills all areas of weakness in your lives. May he bless you in every way. May you stretch out your hands to Him to give Him thanks and praise!

Thank You Father God for Your wonderful blessings You have shown me today. Thank You for all the wonderful people You have introduced to me through here, building a wonderful community of friendship that goes beyond. You are an awesome God! Thank You!!!

All Who are Thirsty By Kutless

I just love this song. We are singing for others for Jesus and the Holy Spirit to come and fill them along with ourselves if we are thirsty. I am so thirsty for Him!
All Who Are Thirsty: by Kutless
Lyrics

All who are thirsty;
All who are weak;
Come to the fountain,
Dip your heart in the stream of life.
Let the pain and the sorrows be washed away,
And the waves of His mercy,
As deep cries out to deep.
And we sing;

Come Lord Jesus Come x 4

All who are thirsty;
All who are weak;
Come to the fountain,
Dip your heart in the stream of life.
Let the pain and the sorrows, be washed away,
And the waves of His mercy,
As deep cries out to deep.
And we sing;

Come Lord Jesus Come x 4

Holy Spirity Come x 4

As deep cries out to deep x 3
And we sing;

Come Lord Jesus Come x 7

Hope you all have a blessed filled day! Just let the Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit fill you up!

How Should We Handle It? June 17, 2009

Better put, how would God handle it? I have removed the April Rose button with a comment on the side bar. Explanation below.

I received and e-mail with an article about Beccah and her supposedly April Rose. I was deeply saddened when I read the article. Did I get angry? I wouldn’t really say angry, I was upset though and wondered how anyone couldo this.

But, we are all born sinners. Not one of is perfect nor will ever be. Granted what she done is terribly wrong. She hurt many that actually went through similar situations, or have lost a child, etc. Yet many of those people tried to be there for her.

When we get past the hurt it will be time to remember how our Father loves us unconditionally and we are suppose to try and be like Him. Instead of name calling and finger pointing, she is one that “really” needs our prayers. She obviously is a very sick woman that needs some help. Let’s join together and pray instead of throwing daggers at her.

Granted, I don’t know what it is like to lose a child and then follow someone like Beccah only to find out it was all fake. Yes, it is a very hurtful thing to do. So please, join with me to pray for her and all those she has caused pain and grief. Thank you and God Bless. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around those that have been affected by this sad prank. May you find comfort in His love. May you be able to forgive and move on and pray for her that she finds solice in the Lord our God. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

T-Bone Steaks; Yellow Roses; Friendship June 17, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — omahs @ 8:39 pm

T-bone steaks, yellow roses and friendship READ THIS!!!! and then reread it. Especially the last part….

I walked into the grocery store not particularly interested in buying groceries.. I wasn’t hungry.. The pain of losing my husband of 57 years was still too raw. And this grocery store held so many sweet memories..

He often came with me and almost every time he’d pretend to go off and look for something special. I knew what he was up to. I’d always spot him walking down the aisle with the three yellow roses in his hands.

He knew I loved yellow roses. With a heart filled with grief, I only wanted to buy my few items and leave, but even grocery shopping was different since he had passed on.
Shopping for one took time, a little more thought than it had for two.

Standing by the meat, I searched for the perfect small steak and remembered how he had loved his steak.

Suddenly a woman came beside me. She was blonde, slim and lovely in a soft green pantsuit. I watched as she picked up a large package of T-bones, dropped them in her basket.. hesitated, and then put them back. She turned to go and once again reached for the pack of steaks.
She saw me watching her and she smiled. ‘My husband loves T-bones, but honestly, at these prices, I don’t know.’

I swallowed the emotion down my throat and met her pale blue eyes.
‘My husband passed away eight days ago,’ I told her. Glancing at the package in her hands, I fought to control the tremble in my voice. ‘Buy him the steaks. And cherish every moment you have together.’

She shook her head and I saw the emotion in her eyes as she placed the package in her basket and wheeled away.

I turned and pushed my cart across the length of the store to the dairy products. There I stood, trying to decide which size milk I should buy. A Quart, I finally decided and moved on to the ice cream. If nothing else, I could always fix myself an ice cream cone.

I placed the ice cream in my cart and looked down the aisle toward the front. I saw first the green suit, then recognized the pretty lady coming towards me. In her arms she carried a package.. On her face was the brightest smile! I had ever seen… I would swear a soft halo encircled her blonde hair as she kept walking toward me, her eyes holding mine.

As she came closer, I saw what she held and tears began misting in my eyes. ‘These are for you,’ she said and placed three beautiful long stemmed yellow roses in my arms. ‘When you go through the line, they will know these are paid for.’ She leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on my cheek, then smiled again. I wanted to tell her what she’d done, what the roses meant, but still unable to speak, I watched as she walked away as tears clouded my vision.

I looked down at the beautiful roses nestled in the green tissue wrapping and found it almost unreal.. How did she know? Suddenly the answer seemed so clear. I wasn’t alone.
Oh, you haven’t forgotten me, have you? I whispered, with tears in my eyes. He was still with me, and she was his angel.

Every day be thankful for what you have and who you are. (Please read all of this, it is really nice)

This is a simple request. If you appreciate life, send this to your friends, including the person that sent it to you.

Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings. Thank you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.

Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible. Thank you, Lord , that I can see. Many are blind.

Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising. Thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned, tempers are short, and my children are so loud.

Thank you, Lord, for my family. There are many who are lonely.

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the picture in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced.

Thank you, Lord, for the food we have. There are many who are hungry.

Even though the routine of my job often is monotonous… Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest.

Thank you, Lord, for life.

Pass this on to the friends you know. It might help a bit to make this world a better place to live, right? A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.. A friend is someone to treasure..

For friendship is a gift. A friend is someone who fills our lives with Beauty, Joy and Grace and makes the world we live in a better and happier place.

YOU ARE MY FRIEND!
God bless you and yours.

Let’s Take a Stand! June 17, 2009

Hello All!

I received this e-mail this morning and it just made me sick. We must take a stand against this kind of action and stop it!!!

We are looking at the possible removal of Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer,Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah and other pastors from the airwaves.

An organization has been granted a Federal Hearing on the same subject by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington , D.C. Their petition, Number 2493, would ultimately pave the way to stop the reading of the gospel of our Lord and Savior, on the airwaves of America. They got 287,000 signatures to back their stand.

If this attempt is successful, all Sunday worship services being broadcast on the radio or by television will be stopped. This group is also campaigning to remove all Christmas programs and Christmas carols from public schools! You as a Christian can help.

We are praying for at least 1 million signatures. This would defeat their effort and show that there are many Christians alive, well and concerned about our country. As Christians, we must unite on this.

Please don’t take this lightly. We ignored one lady once and lost prayer in our schools and in offices across the nation. Please stand up for your religious freedom and let your voice be heard. Together we can make a difference in our country while creating an opportunity for the lost to know the Lord.

Dr. Dobson is going on CNBC to urge every Christian to get involved.

I deleted the parts about signing and sending on. If you would like a copy e-mailed to you, please leave your e-mail address in the comments section and I will be sure and send it to you. Otherwise, my suggestion is to get a hold of whoever you can and let them know we will not stand for this. And most important of all, let’s start a prayer vigil on this matter. We can not let them continue to destroy what our country was founded on. Let’s let God know how precious we believe He is and ask Him to come down and save us! Some programs have already been removed from some schools which is very disturbing. NO MORE!!! Thank you and God Bless

Just recieved this notice from my vet. Thought I would pass it on to any other cat lovers out there.

We wanted you to be aware of the following food recall from Nutro Products:
Franklin, Tennessee (May 21, 2009) — Today, Nutro Products announced a voluntary recall of select varieties of NUTRO(R) NATURAL CHOICE(R) COMPLETE CARE(R) Dry Cat Foods and NUTRO(R) MAX(R) Cat Dry Foods with “Best If Used By Dates” between May 12, 2010 and August 22, 2010. The cat food is being voluntarily recalled in the United States and ten additional countries. This recall is due to incorrect levels of zinc and potassium in our finished product resulting from a production error by a US-based premix supplier. Two mineral premixes were affected. One premix contained excessive levels of zinc and under-supplemented potassium. The second premix under-supplemented potassium. Both zinc and potassium are essential nutrients for cats and are added as nutritional supplements to NUTRO(R) dry cat food. This issue was identified during an audit of our documentation from the supplier. An extensive review confirmed that only these two premixes were affected. This recall does not affect any NUTRO(R) dog food products, wet dog or cat food, or dog and cat treats. Affected product was distributed to retail customers in all 50 states, as well as to customers in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Israel. We are working with all of our distributors and retail customers, in both the US and internationally, to ensure that the recalled products are not on store shelves. These products should not be sold or distributed further. Consumers who have purchased affected product should immediately discontinue feeding the product to their cats, and switch to another product with a balanced nutritional profile. While we have received no consumer complaints related to this issue, cat owners should monitor their cat for symptoms, including a reduction in appetite or refusal of food, weight loss, vomiting or diarrhea. If your cat is experiencing health issues or is pregnant, please contact your veterinarian. Consumers who have purchased product affected by this voluntary recall should return it to their retailer for a full refund or exchange for another NUTRO(R) dry cat food product. Cat owners who have more questions about the recall should call 1-800-833-5330 between the hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST.Remember, this affects only NUTRO CAT food marked with the dates identified above. For more detailed product information, visit www.nutroproducts.com and click on “recall”. Please direct any questions about the food to the 800# listed above.
